Redheads

I have a thing for red-headed girls
but not because of the fiery tempers
they're all reputed to have
and not entirely because their skin
so often has a luxuriant paleness
and not entirely because some redheads
have the brightest blue eyes in the world.

I have a thing for red-headed girls
because the rareness of the color
and the brightness of the hair
makes a redhead easy to find
when you're pursuing her--
like I am now.
